Audiology & swimming surveys

NDCS are carrying out two important surveys at the moment. Surveys completed by Monday 7th July will be entered into a prize draw to win a gift card for Sports Direct worth £25.

Swimming survey

NDCS are looking into swimming provision for deaf children and young people in Scotland.

We have a short online survey to find out what people think about swimming for deaf children and young people in their area.

Audiology Survey

Ensuring that all deaf children across the UK have access to good Audiology services is a key priority for NDCS. 

In Scotland, we know that nationally and locally there has been a drive to improve Audiology services and ensure they meet deaf children’s needs.

However, we are also aware that in some areas inconsistencies and challenges persist and we would like to learn more about the experiences of deaf children and their families across Scotland.

NDCS Parenting Courses

NDCS will be providing free parenting courses in Scotland - please download the flyers to get more details:

NDCS sessional workers

NDCS is recruiting  some new sessional workers to join the team of Project Leaders, Assistant Project Leaders and Mentors working on the youth programme and inclusive activities team events. A new role of Waking Night Support will also be added. This role is specifically for Activity Weekends for deaf children with additional complex needs.

The roles have been added to the NDCS website today www.ndcs.org.uk/jobs.

We will be advertising on some external websites, tweeting and facebook-ing to make sure word gets out about the opportunities. We are especially keen to get applications from  Scotland so please do send the info on to anyone you think might be interested and encourage them to apply.
