Scottish Minority Deaf Children’s Society (SMDCS) is organising a BME Information Day for families in the Edinburgh and Lothian’s area in partnership with the NDCS. The event will be held on the 17th of March.
The event is aimed at the BME families from the area and will host guest speakers. We have confirmed , an audiologist and a teacher of deaf who will be speaking to the parents on the day and also two young deaf role models from Ingrid’s ‘Who Am I’ project.
There will also be a parents panel , who will talk about their experiences of having a deaf child. There will be language interpreters as required so that families can access information in a language they understand.
